Obama and Hillary Clinton tweeted about the attacks in Sri Lanka. These attacks were truly atrocious acts of terrorism. Obama tweeted, “The attacks on tourists and Easter worshippers in Sri Lanka are an attack on humanity…,”and Clinton tweeted, “I’m praying for everyone affected by today’s horrific attacks on Easter worshippers and travelers in Sri Lanka.” It was right of them to express sympathy and support, but why couldn’t they just call the victims Christians instead of “Easter worshippers”? The answer is because they do not want to portray this act of violence for what it truly is; a series of anti-Christian terrorist attacks. They want to take the focus off of anti-Christian terrorism and put it on issues that matter to them most. These issues include letting illegal immigrants in, climate change, and higher taxes. The reality is, though, terrorism is a real crisis that causes the death of more than 18, 000 innocents in 2017, of which many are Christian (click here to see more statistics), but they just don’t care. All Obama and Clinton want is to fulfill their political agenda, not help save lives.
