President Donald Trump filed for re-election with the FEC on the day he was inaugurated, January 20, 2017. Many liberals saw this as pointless and rather funny. What they did not realize, however, is that since the day he filed for re-election he has been able to raise money for his campaign.

George W. Bush and Barack Obama filed for re-election way later in their presidential terms and because of this they were only able to raise $3 million and $4 million, respectively, during their first two years. If they had filed for re-election on the day of their election, similarly to Trump, they would have been able to raise way more money during their first two years. Comparatively, Trump has raised $130 million ($35 million on hand).

This just goes to show how the liberal Democrats do not understand real, intelligent strategy like Republican figures such as Trump. Moreover, when they fail to recognize this strategy they jump to conclusions and assume that the strategic Republican is a clueless politician. In reality, though, the clueless are the liberal Democrats.
